Sen. David Vitter (R-La.), the same family-values conservative/adulterer who once argued that an extra-marital affair is grounds for castration resignation. As of Monday, Vitter was not only Giuliani’s top Senate backer, he was also the regional chairman of Giuliani’s campaign.
But let's get real, is Mayor 9-11 responsible for Vitter’s immoral hypocrisy? Fuck no. There’s is way that anybody could have anticipated that one serial adulterer could know about another serial adulterer’s adulterous adultery.
In Sen. Vitters defense, what he did was a true act of pre-emptive patriotism. He has just chosen to destroy marriage before teh gays do.
Vitter’s wife, Wendy, when asked in 1998 what she would do if her husband strayed, proclaimed with the scent of Jack Daniels on her breath “I’m a lot more like Lorena Bobbitt than Hillary,” “If he does something like that, I’m walking away with one thing, and it’s not alimony, trust me. I think fear is a very good motivating factor in a marriage.”
