Ex-commander in Iraq says the current US leadership an abyssmal suckhole of incompetence.
Lt. Gen. Ricardo Sanchez: "'My assessment is that we have a crisis in national political leadership. When will America recognize the danger we face? When will the corrosive partisanship of American politics end and allow for a bipartisan solution to arguably the most dangerous threat our nation has faced in over 60 years?'Sanchez was not the military leader who called Betrayus "an ass-kissing little chickenshit." That was Central Command chief Adm. William Fallon.
After his speech, Sanchez wouldn't name names, but told the AP he was referring to 'the most senior leadership in our nation.'"
Sanchez, who spent a tumultuous year as the top U.S. commander in Iraq, made the remarks at a veterans summit sponsored by U.S. Rep. Solomon Ortiz, a Corpus Christi Democrat. About 200 veterans and their families attended the event. They gave Sanchez a standing ovation and mobbed him afterward for autographs.

So, either Sanchez didn't get the big bucks he wanted from the Bush/Cheney cabal or the DNP got to him and offered him more, I dunno.
I wonder if he'll ever get the nerve to admit the OIL (Operation Iraqi Liberation) was a huge mistake. Doubtful, since he was the head honcho there at the get-go.
