Senate Dems capitulate, move Mukasey nomination forward

Lame. Lame, lame, lame. The Senate Judiciary Committee caved on Tuesday and approved Michael Mukasey as Bush's latest rubberstamping attorney general despite concerns about the torturer-enabler's refusal to denounce waterboarding as illegal torture. It now goes to the full Senate for confirmation. Yeah. Why don't we just skip it as the cheap facade it is -- we all know how it's going to end anyway.

Bonus: the pathetic, shameful, fuckwit explanation of supine Sen.Chuck Schumer, in a Tuesday New York Times op-ed:

"If we block Judge Mukasey's nomination and then learn in six months that waterboarding has continued unabated, that victory will seem much less valuable."
Gee, good thinking, asshole! And maybe, if I quit eating fruit, bats might not fly out of my butt! Feh.

Re: Schumer's rationalization..
WTF??? That's just a classic non-sequitur! It's not even a BAD 'reason' - - it's just a plain irrelevant dodge!
