Lame. Lame, lame, lame. The Senate Judiciary Committee caved on Tuesday and approved Michael Mukasey as Bush's latest rubberstamping attorney general despite concerns about the torturer-enabler's refusal to denounce waterboarding as illegal torture. It now goes to the full Senate for confirmation. Yeah. Why don't we just skip it as the cheap facade it is -- we all know how it's going to end anyway.
Bonus: the pathetic, shameful, fuckwit explanation of supine Sen.Chuck Schumer, in a Tuesday New York Times op-ed:
"If we block Judge Mukasey's nomination and then learn in six months that waterboarding has continued unabated, that victory will seem much less valuable."Gee, good thinking, asshole! And maybe, if I quit eating fruit, bats might not fly out of my butt! Feh.

Re: Schumer's rationalization..
WTF??? That's just a classic non-sequitur! It's not even a BAD 'reason' - - it's just a plain irrelevant dodge!
