It's okay when WE do it! When you do, you hate America!' A freetard over at RimJob's posts a little ditty he wrote about the Homeland Security warning:
Oh, you better shut up You better not post Napolitano's checking Your internet host DHS is coming to town! She's making a list Of terrorist types Abusing her power and Invading our lives DHS is coming to town!
Right. As if the eight years under 'the Constitution is just a goddamn piece of paper!' Dictator-tot never happened. kos weighs in:
Hey wingers, unconstitutional surveillance isn't so fun after all, is it?
Indeed. Andrew Sullivan isn't taking any of this hypocritical shit either:
And when the Bushies cordoned off demonstrators and tapped phones without warrant, and tracked protesters at the GOP conventions in New York and St Paul, the right-wing blogosphere was complaining, right? Right. I remember now. {snip} If a Republican is in office, the executive branch - even taken to the absurd extremes of Bush and Cheney - can do no wrong.
Not that... ah, you know what I mean.

Whiny, sniveling little crybabies!
Take your fucking pail and shovel and go home....and NO you can't take the sand, that belongs to US.
Exactly right Maru/kos/Sullie - - in fact, as regards protecting the rights of protestors (be they ones we agree with [left/liberal causes] or ones we disagree with [right/conservative stuff]), the oft-reich-wing-despised ACLU is the premier protector of people's right to peacefully protest and express themselves. If we didn't have groups like them, AND a national belief in the rule of law (with notable periods of suspension of that 'belief'), you'd see conservatives locking up unpopular liberal speakers when the conservatives were in power, and vice-versa (though I suspect less often) when the liberals were in power. So the tea-baggers should all thank the ACLU for helping enforce the US Constitution/Bill of Rights which protects their right to protest (as misguided & Faux Noise orchestrated as it may be).
