I do believe that's somewhere on the French coast. When the Tide comes in it gets cut off from land.
Grandpa Eddie is perhaps thinking of Mont St. Michel. Maru's thumbnail appears to be a picture of something considerably smaller than Mont St. Michel, though at 500x375 resolution it's hard to be certain.
It ain't Mt. St. Michel, which is a medieval walled city with cathedral towers. This is some sort of beach resort or casino. I'm guessing Mexican coastline somewhere.
