The #1 issue for a Republican mayoral candidate is:
a) lowering crime
b) fixing budget problems
c) rebuilding the city infrastructure or
d) putting up a creationism display at the zoo
Republican mayoral candidate Anna Falling said Tuesday that putting a Christian creationism display in the Tulsa Zoo is No. 1 in importance among city issues that also include violent crime, budget woes and bumpy streets. To which one wag replied “You can see animals at the Tulsa Zoo performing the acts of creationism most any day of the week!”
"It's first," she said to calls of "hallelujah" at a rally outside the zoo. "If we can't come to the foundation of faith in this community, those other answers will never come. We need to first of all recognize the fact that God needs to be honored in this city."
No wonder you idiots are polling in the crapper.

I tried to tell you what it's like living in the bible belt buckle of the universe but nooo you wouldn't listen to me would ya. Now you see don'tcha. Not only is the church in charge of their stupid minds and their access to knowledge but the only time we hear anything about our congressmen (all old white churchy fuckers) is when everyone else is laughing at them (I'm usually crying). The midwest, where the motto is Jesus rules or we'll kick the dog-shit out o' ya until he does.
I just moved back to Tulsa because I was crippled and had no choice, seriously. I've been thinking about hobbling to another state, any other state.
Wow. I am inspired now. I am going to start a Prop-8 style campaign of funneling money into the Tulsa mayoral race to elect Independent write-in candidate Box Of Rocks.
Box Of Rocks supports the creationism exhibit, and, once elected promises, no, VOWS on its first day in office to cut the ribbon on the Failing Memorial Creationism Exhibit.
What? Her name is Falling? Shit...And I just printed up 50,000 campaign brochures...
