"A travesty of honest news"

Glenn Beck says his new website is "intended to give folks a helping hand." And by "folks" he means "Glenn Beck." And by "helping hand" he means "teabagger-generated handjob."

The "breaking news, original reporting, and insightful opinions" that mouthbreathers can beat off to on DoucheBeck's the Blaze include commentary on the Democrat Party's 'radical leftist agenda,' the sanctity of climate-change deniers, and the racism of Rev. Al Sharpton.

“The only real issue here is whether enough people will be deluded to think this is actually anything resembling honest news coverage," says [political blogger Shel] Horowitz.
Shel, please. Wake the fuck up: "You can never underestimate the stupidity of the general public."*

RE: the Scott Adams' quote: I always liked the similar quote (by whom, I don't know), that said: 'No one ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of US voter' . To me it captures a naive susceptibility to right-wing hucksterism in the US since its inception that seems to be an underlying political current.

Nobody ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the American public.
