Bush critic became target of Libby
Cheney's chief of staff reportedly hated Wilson with the white-hot intensity of a thousand suns.

"Libby became consumed," and was so angry about the statements of former Ambassador Joseph Wilson that he monitored all of Wilson's television appearances and urged the White House to mount an aggressive public campaign against him, becoming almost unbalanced on the subject, say former aides.

The grown-ups are back in charge.
