Wind farms ‘a threat to national security’
Ambitious plans to meet up to a third of Britain’s energy needs from offshore wind farms are in jeopardy because the Ministry of Defence objects that the turbines interfere with its radar.Obviously an Islamocommienazijihadifascist plot to keep Britain and the rest of white civilization sucking on the foreign oil tit.

That's what will happen if you let the military dominate the decisions of a country -- they will predictably exhibit a bias towards military-friendly decisions. So what if the country (England in this case) suffers a significant decline in the standard of living for MANY people due to the effects a decision like this would have... that's not the concern of the military. They're primary concern is military defense & offense -- they are literally paid to be paranoid about these things (read about the US military in the 1950's & 60's if you really want to see this in action). And maybe a LITTLE of that is inevitable, but when you have politicians (like our Neo-cons would) who give the military carte blanche, then these paranoid premises become national policy, and many people suffer.
