NAMING NAMES: THE LIST!

It occurs to me that what we really need here in this country is a national memorial, perhaps like the Viet Nam memorial, a wall, upon which is carved each and every American's name who has lost his or her life, made the "ultimate sacrifice", because of the lack of or inadequate health care/insurance. Only this memorial would be more like a 9/11 memorial than the Viet Nam wall because none of these names volunteered or signed up for their ultimate UNECESSARY demise....

No. They were all murdered.

In cold blood, premeditated and violently murdered by the US health care system because they didn't have enough money to play that particular game. Or maybe they DID have that kind of money and DID play that game in good faith, but then were cheated, robbed, or as I see it, mugged and beaten to death in the process......Kicked to death while they were the most down anyone EVER GETS in this life.

These people should be named, their deaths brought to light in one place, say, on the National Mall. Maybe a sidewalk star like in Hollywood; a walk of shame, as it were. Up one side of the mall and down the other and on all spaces and on the grass in between because I'm guessing that the numbers are astronomical. Or leave the structural design to the experts, some great but unknown American artist who could and would design such a place for listing the name, affliction and date of the murder victims, and the name of the insurance company and/or executive who "pulled the trigger". I wonder if the assholes in WashDC would THEN be able to grasp the concept that the insurance companies and corporations and their lobbyist armies for whom our legislators slave so hard are in fact mass murderers and should be imprisoned, tried at The Hague for crimes against humanity, and held responsible for the Great American Holocaust of the 20th and 21st centuries.

The Americans who have died and continue to die deserve some kind of honorable mention, their names should righteously be brought together on one place, their suffering and murders should be acknowledged and done so LOUDLY. With that there needs to be a national day of mourning for these country men and women, babies, children and elders. Who would I see about instituting such a day and such a place? I'm betting I could GET signatures and backing for this. It's not only the right thing to do, it's the American way to do such a thing.

I know people who are in this category, and I bet you do too. I bet EVERYONE knows someone to whom this has happened, someone no long with us because they couldn't produce enough dollars on demand. Or they did pay and were denied anyway.

THAT'S insurance "reform" I could get behind.

Wow, beautiful piece Siri, where do I sign. And do I get a free torch and pitchfork and an address of an insurance executive? Fuck the pitchfork and give me an Uzi.

Right ON, Siri!!! I'm terminally ill because of these fucks. I agree with everything you said, and love your idea. They are murderers. SADISTIC ones, at that. It's so bizarre that Americans continue to allow this hugely wicked system to exist at all.

Great bit Siri, and something that should be done. I was crippled due to a botched surgery and couldn't sue do to the doctor friendly laws in Michigan, have to be able to prove they should have known better, and have gone without health care ever since while my condition gets worse and worse. So everyone like wangmo above I really sympathize with. I'd like to add that many, many people have been bankrupted and lost everything they own due to our health greed system. It's got to get fixed. My hatred for the rethuglicans grows daily with my pain because of their selfish, greedy lies.

Strictly speaking it's manslaugter, differing from murder in that there's no premeditation, they just don't give a shit, but at the same time are aware of the probable consequences (like a guy shoving cinder blocks off a freeway overpass onto passing cars).

yes and i appreciate your point, Chris. But it feels like hair splitting a bit dah'lin. I mean, dead is dead. Those loved ones are GONE, the BIG gone, the dirt nap lights out forever GONE. ya know?

Perfect. I would contribute to that, and I am very poor from medical bills.
