White Men Don't.......Terrorize

An attempted abortion clinic bombing in Texas and an Alabama militia's arsenal of pipe bombs apparently don't count as terrorism, because it seems that the FBI has changed the definition of terrorist to only include brown-skinned people preferably with Arab heritage. Changing the metrics, where have we seen THAT before?
Remember, if The terrorists aren’t Muslim, then there is nothing to see here, move along, or get a one way ticket to Club Gitmo for a few years of enhanced interrogation techniques..
So just how is that Bush war on terror going? Fantastic, if you are a brown-skinned infidel.

A State Department report on terrorism due out next week will show a nearly 30 percent increase in terrorist attacks worldwide in 2006 to more than 14,000, almost all of the boost due to growing violence in Iraq and Afghanistan, U.S. officials said Friday.
At least they aren't following us home......except for the white ones that are already here. But they don't count.

What's interestingly explained by Ed Herman* is how the major world powers (and especially the Uber-power, US) conveniently describe "terrorism" as something done by 'foreigners' and/or 'movements', whereas a more realistic definition of 'terrorism' would start with the dictionary definition which typically states that it's "a mode of governing, or of opposing government, by intimidation." It's quickly evident that the large 'super-powers' (Russia, China, the US, etc) thus fit the broader definition of 'terrorists' - - and the US is the largest international practioner. Also, national governments do terrorism on a 'wholesale' scale, while the non-governmental terrorist can only practice it on a comparatively 'retail' scale of minor dimension (when comparing the casualties). The US can bomb SE Asia for 10 yrs, drop more ordinance on Laos alone than was used in WWII, kill 2-3 MILLION SE Asians (most being civilians), practice a 'scorched-earth' policy, and yet claim to be fighting for democracy and AGAINST terrorism (while trying to 'influence' the various factions to stop supporting people we didn't like). We can drop plane-loads of bombs daily for months on end and it's no big deal, but let one go off on OUR soil and it's Armageddon time.

(* in "The Real Terror Network" 1982, a somewhat 'era-specific' book, but with enough general commentary to be VERY applicable beyond the 1970's-80's. Excellent book.)

I don't know...it just seems like most Americans can't remember 3 weeks ago, much less nuances of policy.

Case in Point: for 8 long years under Clinton, and 15 months under the male cheerleader, we had sanctions that killed an estimated 500,000 women and children in Iraq, while also bombing them and limiting them inside a "no-fly" zone.

Yet let the msm Mighty Wurlitzer crank up, and 80-90% of Americans actually BELIEVED Iraq could have smuggled equipment into the country to built nuclear weapons. Yeah Tex, they hid it in a camel's rectum.

Like we hadn't had them under continuous satellite surveillance since 1991. Under constant spy plane scrutiny since 1991.

Like the UN IAEA had never put on the internet, it's 1998 report stating that Iraq had NO WMD capability, NO, NONE.

Yet there were the fools lined up to gawk at Shock and Awe. Like it was a tv production, a new Rambo movie out.

They lie to us, then look at us like: "Shit, you swallowed THAT one??? And didn't kick my ass for lying to your face?"

They know what works with the stupids. That is, to them, their core 30-35% base of bozos they can count on.

And it will never end, because we don't look for "final solutions" or declare "war" on anything we disagree with.

God. It will never end.

I'm having a lousy morning, reading so much of this "only foreign Muslim bomb throwers count" thinking makes me think that if we are really getting this stupid, it must be our turn in the barrel over the falls of "too freakin' stupid to run things anymore". Grrrrr.
