Violation of the public trust, bitch??

MSNBC guest host to repuke: “When was the last time a New York Times ad ever killed somebody?”

Left unspoken: "cunt!" Fuc Tucker Carlson substitute host David Shuster destroys hypocrite and Republican Rep (but I repeat myself) Marsha Blackburn as she glibly recites her talking points on the MoveOn/NYT Petraeus ad ... but can't name the last soldier from her district to be killed in Iraq:

Shuster: "Let’s talk about the public trust. You represent, of course, a district in western Tennessee. What was the name of the last solider from your district who was killed in Iraq?"

Blackburn:"The name of the last soldier killed in Iraq - uh - from my district I - I do not know his name -"

Shuster: "Ok, his name was Jeremy Bohannon, he was killed August the 9th, 2007. How come you didn’t know the name?"

Blackburn: "I - I, you know, I - I do not know why I did not know the name..."

Shuster: "But you weren’t appreciative enough to know the name of this young man, he was 18 years old who was killed, and yet you can say chapter and verse about what’s going on with the New York Times and Move On.org." {..snip..}

Shuster: “But don’t you understand, the problems that a lot of people would have, that you’re so focused on an ad — when was the last time a New York Times ad ever killed somebody? I mean, here we have a war that took the life of an 18 year old kid, Jeremy Bohannon from your district, and you didn’t even know his name.”

Excellent questions by Shuster! That's the kind of questions the MSM should ALWAYS be posing to their guests - right, left, middle-of-the-road, religious, atheist -- all of them should get strong, skeptical questions, especially when they try to fall back on obviously empty rhetoric. Instead, they too often let the questionee control the discussion/debate (especially if he/she's rich/connected) until it becomes little more than an empty commercial, often whose only purpose is to AVOID tranmitting any SIGNIFICANT information.

Good to see this nasty little piece of work slapped down! Her rants on the floor are not only rethug regurge, but her whiney mosquitto drawly voice is a right up the spine experience. Every time I watch her spew I marvel at HOW ON EARTH a group of ANYONE could elect such a horrific example of a human being. She really truly sucks!
Reading this made me feel better.
I'm still recovering from post last week in congress depression.
Thanks!

To Anonymous:

Please don't insult mosquito’s they actually serve a purpose in feeding other animals. :-)

She is more like the oil slick on the surface of the water after the Exxon Valdez ran aground with the drunk captain at the helm.

Actually, that is a good description of the entire government these days. Drunk captain at the helm, crashing on the rocks, leaving nothing but destruction in their wake.

Blackburn, and probably most politicians regardless of party affiliation, did not know Jeremy
Bohannon's name because they do not want to realize our troops as people with names and families
and futures snuffed out.

In their feeble little minds, this war is not about real live people. It is some type of twisted, sick sporting event where Team USA MUST win no matter how much it costs in terms of billions if not trillions of dollars. And much more importantly, no matter how much it costs in terms of lost and damaged lives.

The warmongers are unable to articulate an unchanging vision of exactly what "winning" means.

Their vision changes daily and does not include the people of Iraq.

Their vision seems to equate this war with some type of Super Bowl extravaganza wherein the USA
must "win".

Their blather speaks only in terms of how the Iraq war affects the United States, a United States
that no longer exists except in their dreams.

They cannot see that the actions of the United States have turned the people of Iraq against us.

A recent poll shows that 47%, a plurality, of the Iraqi people favor immediate withdrawal of US
forces. 57% of Iraqis call attacks on coalition forces “acceptable,”.

They refuse to see that the world no longer sees the United States as one of the good guys. In a
global poll conducted earlier this year, 53% of the nations polled distrust the United States.

In contrast, 52% felt the same about China. We are MORE distrusted than China.

In an unspeakable crime against our troops, they do not actually see our troops as anything other than nameless, faceless fodder for their
war.

While wearing their yellow ribbons to prove just how much they support the troops, they turn a blind eye to the reality that our troops live with every day. The lack of equipment, the lack of medical care, the extension upon extension of the tours of duty of our troops. These are some of the realities our troops face every day.

By not knowing the names of the troops who have died in vain, they can continue to live in their
fantasy world and give our troops no more thought or consideration than that given to a collection of the little plastic green faceless, nameless toy soldiers of yesteryear.

The warmongers sit in their plush, climate-controlled homes, feasting on delicacies of every sort, watching their idiot boxes while calling on others to do the actual fighting, suffering and dying for them.

How inappropriate that anyone should suggest that the warmongers should know the names of the
faceless fodder dying thousands of miles of way in the war that the warmongers initiated under
false pretenses.

So they hide in their dream world and refuse to see the reality of the grotesque landscape of death and destruction they have created. They refuse to see that their hands are dripping with the blood of innocent, once living, breathing humans.

From the depths of this delusional dream world, they come burst forth with their malice to cast aspersions upon those who seek to end the war and support our troops by bringing them home to their families.

If the politicians let even the tiniest ray of the light of decency into their minds and saw our
troops and their families and the Iraqi people as humans, they would have no choice but to plead guilty to crimes against humanity.
