Elected official linked in investigation to shady, possibly-Muslim guy with funny name

No, the other one.

OK, all you repugs who are free of scandal, please step over there...
Um, not so fast, Senator Coleman.

Norm Coleman is facing a preliminary FBI probe into his connections to businessman Nasser Kazeminy.

Bwwwwahahahaha! Ahem. Sorry.

Federal investigators are looking into allegations that a longtime friend and benefactor tried to steer money to U.S. republican Sen. Norm Coleman, the Pioneer Press has learned.

One lawsuit, filed in Texas, alleged that Mr Kazeminy, a Bloomington financier, tried to steer $100,000 to Coleman via his wife's Minneapolis employer. The second suit, filed in Delaware, alleges Kazeminy initially tried to get money directly to the senator.

But wait, there's more! Not only could he face an ethics investigation if he is reelected, but a good-government group called the Alliance for a Better Minnesota has called for am FBI probe to investigate him.

An ethics investigation. Ooooooh. I bet ol' Norm's *terrified.*

The House and Senate Ethics Committees have become so damned useless they ought to be disbanded and their staffs laid off. And in this economy, I don't say that lightly about any job.
