Poor Sarah Mooselini is being picked on again
"The choice of photo for the cover of this week's Newsweek is unfortunate. When it comes to Sarah Palin, this 'news' magazine has relished focusing on the irrelevant rather than the relevant. The Runner's World magazine one-page profile for which this photo was taken was all about health and fitness -- a subject to which I am devoted and which is critically important to this nation. The out-of-context Newsweek approach is sexist and oh-so-expected by now. If anyone can learn anything from it: it shows why you shouldn't judge a book by its cover, gender, or color of skin. The media will do anything to draw attention - even if out of context."It is rather ironic to hear her whine considering the outlandish attacks she herself has made. She used her looks to advance herself and garner votes from day one. Why the hell is she complaining now?
Earth to space caribou: What do you think is worse, sexism or accusing a US senator of essentially being a terrorist?

As some of the commentors in the attached link pointed out, the use of this photo isn't sexist - - it's symbolic/representative of one of the article's main points... that Palin is telegenic AND subtly (or otherwise) promotes that (with poses like this in Runner's World) as somehow a SIGNIFICANT qualification for a major political office. Her cries of 'out-of-context' are extremely weak, since her pose & trappings in the photo are NOT 'apolitical' -- I daresay it'd be difficult to find another photo in Runner's World where the runner has dress-hose on with running shoes, is striking a model's pose (note the left leg) AND is casually leaning on an American flag that is not properly displayed*!
(* IF this were Michele Obama, couldn't you just hear the Fox-rage at her 'desecration of the flag! The flag that so many soldiers have given their life for, that symbolizes the hallowed American way of life - - and she's using it as casual prop! Almost touching the floor!' etc, etc..)
